Ungur & Huang is wife-and-husband artist duo Livia Ungur and Sherng-Lee Huang. They work primarily in video, as well as sculpture, installation, and performance. Livia was born in communist Romania and came to America to study art; Sherng-Lee grew up in Tennessee and formerly directed documentaries and comedy videos. They live and work in New York City.

The duo weaves together autobiography; fiction; documentary; and allusions to history, art, and pop culture—often within a single work. Their playful, self-reflexive narratives explore the construction and consequences of fantasy; the twisting of objective truth; and the migration of ideas, images, and individuals across political and cultural borders.
